Obituary for Synthia (Sachs) Weiss

Synthia (Sachs) Weiss, 68, of Salem, NH passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Oct. 28, 1950, daughter of the late Leon and Alice (Vogel) Sachs.

Synthia was educated at Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Fine Arts.
She was employed by the Andover School DIstrict as an Elementary Art Teacher for 33 years.

Sindy enjoyed traveling, art & culture, and spending time laughing, kibitzing, and yentaing with family and friends. Her favorite past time was raising her two beautiful granddaughters, and teaching them the art of shopping and accessorizing.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Ira Weiss; her sons Justin Weiss and his wife Emily of Salem, NH and Jordan Weiss and his wife Lisa of Manhattan, NY; sister Marcia and her husband Jerome Levin of New City, NY; grandchildren Brooklyn and Ella Weiss; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late David Sachs. The world has lost a truly beautiful soul.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the graveside service on Thursday, Feb. 14th at 10:00 AM in Temple Emanuel Cemetery, 202 Mount Vernon Street, Lawrence, MA. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford-Haverhill.
