Obituary for Richard J. Shellnutt

Richard J. Shellnutt, 88, a forty year resident of Groveland, died Sunday morning, June 10, at Merrimack Valley Health Center, Amesbury.

He was born in North Andover, October 10, 1929, son of the late Richard A. and Marion (Hamilton) Shellnutt.

Educated in the North Andover school system, Mr. Shellnutt graduated from the former Johnson High School and earned his Associates Degree in Ballistics from Trinidad College, Colorado.

For over 20 years he was employed as a Ballistics Engineer at Winchester Arms, New Haven, CT.

He was the husband of the late Anne D. (Dewhirst) Shellnutt and his survivors include two sons, Steven Shellnutt and his wife Linda of Killingworth, CT, Richard Shellnutt and his wife Judy of W.V., a daughter, Carol Montisanti and her husband Tony of Amesbury, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland. Arrangements are by the H.L.
