Obituary for June D. Macchia

June D. Macchia, 69, of Groveland, passed away Sunday, November 11, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, after a long illness.

June was born in Revere on August 29, 1949 the daughter of the late Thomas and June (Bradley) Fields.

June was educated in the Revere school system and graduated from Revere High School. She went on to earn her RN from the Lynn Hospital School of Nurses in 1970. She started her nursing career at Lynn Hospital as a pediatric nurse and eventually moving on to Union Hospital in Lynn and finally at Melrose Wakefield hospital from where she retired after 15 years of dedicated service.

In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and making a warm and inviting home for her friends and loved ones.

She was predeceased by her brother Jack Fields.

June is survived by her husband, Vincent J. Macchia Jr. of Groveland, her son, Vincent J. Macchia III and his wife Wendy of Millis, MA., a sister, Diane and her husband James Blake of Easton, MA., a brother, Bradley Fields and his wife Patti of Georgetown, MA., two grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
