Obituary for Elaine M. (Villers) Allan

Elaine M. (Villers) Allan, 89, of Haverhill, died Thursday, January 24, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Haverhill, October 5, 1929, one of ten children to Ernest and Mildred (Laporte) Villers.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Allan was employed in the local shoe industry for over 25 years.

She enjoyed her bird, Benny, jigsaw puzzles, word games and ceramics.

Her survivors include her husband of 64 years, Lionel V. Allan of Haverhill, a daughter, Carol Stivala and her husband Darrin of Windham, NH, a son, Jon Allan and his wife Stephanie of Chester, NH, four grandchildren, Amanda and Jared Stivala, Katherine and Madison Allan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday morning, January 29, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by committal in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to Action Against Hunger.
