Obituary for Dianne M. Drolet

Dianne Marie Drolet, 59, of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA surrounded by family and friends. Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of Marie C. (Hogan) and Richard E. Drolet.

Dianne graduated from Haverhill High School in 1977. As a child, Dianne enjoyed many summers with her family on Plum Island. And with a passion for dancing, she took ballet classes from childhood up to her 20s.

Dianne attended Bradford College and went on to work as Operating Room Scheduling Coordinator at Lawrence General Hospital. She later worked for Dr. Richard Warnock in North Andover, MA for many years.

The great loves of Dianne’s life were her two children, Eric and Chad. She would move mountains for them and stood by them with unwavering support, through good times and bad. She and her children shared many memories enjoying camping, beach days, keno, fine dining, singing and dancing.

Dianne was a fashionista. She dressed to the nines – bright and colorful, regal and chic – regardless of where she was going or what she was doing. She loved shopping for new dresses and outfits but at the same time she was very generous. She was a shoulder to lean on for many and would give a loved one the mink boa off her shoulders if they needed it.

Dianne also had an affinity for interior design. She used her great sense of style and artistic talent to help many in her life redecorate their homes. Her cooking brought many friends and family together, she loved to get everyone together to feed them.

Dianne was a strong woman. Growing up with four younger brothers, and later having two boys of her own, kept her on her toes. She was electric, always the life of the party, and her magnetic personality had people drawn to her like moths to a flame. She had friends from all walks of life, and her kindness graced the lives of too many to count.

Dianne’s legacy can be felt by the many people she helped with her giving nature and her love for others. She was a beautiful, kind, giving, and selfless, fun-loving shining star. She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dianne leaves behind her loving sons, Eric J. and Chad R. Tombarello; Eric’s fiancé Rosa Bruno; her brothers John P., Paul J., and William R. Drolet; William’s husband Jason R. Makoske; her grandson Americo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, David A. Drolet; and parents Marie C. and Richard E. Drolet.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Monday, October 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, MA. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, beginning at 10:00 at the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 in St. Michael’s Church, North Andover, MA. A private burial will take place at a later date. To share a memory or for more information please visit
