Obituary for Richard Rozzi

Richard A. Rozzi, 68, of Pelham, NH, and formerly of Lawrence, passed away on Sunday morning, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness.

Rick was the son of the late Pasquale J. Rozzi and Florence M. Silvestro Rozzi of Lawrence.

He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and attended both Lowell Technological Institute and New Hampshire Technical Community College where he was Phi Theta Kappa.

He was a journeyman Pattern Maker and member of the Patternmakers League of North America. Rick worked in the manufacturing industry in the Merrimack Valley including Davis and Furber and Lawrence Pumps.

He authored instructive articles appearing in various woodworking and technical publications throughout the industry and was also a published poet.

Rick was a well known musician, performing in the Chieftains Drum and Bugle Corps and several area rock bands including, The Barons.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years Elizabeth Webster Rozzi, his daughter Stephanie, wife of Daniel Lawson of Melrose, Massachusetts and daughter Stella Rozzi of Nashua, New Hampshire as well as two grandchildren, Benjamin Daniel Lawson and Amelia Elizabeth Lawson. He also leaves behind a brother Robin Rozzi and two nephews, Robin and Tyler Rozzi all of Haverhill.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, February 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His Memorial Service will be held on Friday morning, February 23, at 10:30 in Linwood Cemetery Chapel, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830, followed by inurnment at Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014, The National Muscular Sclerosis Society, 101A 1st Ave, Waltham, MA 02451, or St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
