Drucilla P. “Dru” Dekeon, 79, of Bradford passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill with her family by her side.

She was born in Morristown, NJ on March 24, 1938, daughter of the late Willis and Norma (Nickett) Pheil.

Dru was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools, graduating from Haverhill High School with the class of 1956. She was employed for over 20 years for the Haverhill school department as an administrative assistant. Dru had many friends and was loved by all.

She traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe including Italy and Greece, wintered in Deerfield Beach, FL and her “home away from home” in Camp Ellis Maine for 38 years.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, her high school sweetheart George Dekeon; children Dr. Lisa D. Dekeon and her husband George Bonnes of Glenwood, NY, George Dekeon, Jr. of Haverhill; Christopher Dekeon of Haverhill; Norma Jean and her husband Joseph Gore of E. Wakefield, NH and Mary K. and her husband Robert DiBurro of Boxford; sister Nancy Boucher of Amesbury; brother Richard Nansel and his wife Patricia of Bradford; 7 grandchildren George Dekeon, III and his wife Alyssa, Anastasia and her husband Andrew Levaseur, Ariana Dekeon, Ryan Dekeon, Alexandra Andrews, Brenden DiBurro and Damon DiBurro; 2 great grandchildren Iris Levaseur and Bryson George Dekeon; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Carol and Harvey Pothier and her brother-in-law Roland Boucher.
