Obituary for Barbara M. Jameson

Barbara M. (Spooner) Jameson, 83, of Haverhill, MA and formerly of New Bedford, MA., passed away peacefully, Wednesday Morning, March 1, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

She was born in New Bedford on May 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Byron and Nellie (Cleary) Spooner.

Barbara was educated in the New Bedford school system and graduated from Waterbury High School after her family moved to Connecticut.

Mrs. Jameson was employed for 27 years at Payne cutlery Scissor Factory and Stride Rite Shoes until her retirement in 1995. She moved from New Bedford to Haverhill in 2006.

In her free time, Barbara enjoyed puzzles and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick T. Jameson.

Mrs. Jameson is survived by her son Nicholas A. Jameson and his wife Susan C. of Plaistow, NH, two grandchildren, Erin Jameson of Boston and Colin Jameson and his wife Lisa of Haverhill, a great grandchild, Madison Jameson, two sisters, Shirley Robitaille of New Bedford MA., and Winifred Thatcher of Cedarville MA., as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Walter Park.

A private memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
